The Philosophy

The CAPITALIST Party's key principle is that all property should be private. It holds that the only legitimate role for government is to protect that property. These ideas are derived from the fact that human beings live by reason, and that therefore, whatever property they attain by reason, is theirs to keep by right.

Socialists in contrast, dismiss individual rights. They believe that individuals exist not by reason but by the providence of the state. "If it wasn't for state education, state health, state welfare, state roads, state banks, and state regulation, most people could not survive", is what they claim. Thus everyone has a duty to relinquish ownership or control of their property to the state, which can best decide how to use it for the public good.

All today's major parties are socialist in some degree. None of them are fundamentally committed to reducing the state to a minimum. That is our goal.
